Blackberry Playbook Tethering via Bluetooth

Note that this type of connection may be possible from any mobile phone that supports this feature via Bluetooth. It is recommended checking with your service provider if this adds additional costs in check.

Requirements
  • Check if Bluetooth DUN profile enabled, if it is blocked see your provider or administrator.
  • The phone must be compatible with Bluetooth technology, to know that BT profiles it uses refer to the manual.
  • Your service plan must support wireless tethering.
1. Enable Bluetooth.
First, make sure Bluetooth is activated on both devices (Symbian / Tablet PC). Activate Bluetooth in the playbook: Operate the Setup icon in the status bar. Then select Internet Tethering (Internet Connection Sharing). Give the Turn On button (Power)

2. Connect to your Blackberry Smartphone.
Touch the Settings icon status bar and select Internet again Tethering (Internet Connection Sharing). Your Mobile previously linked appearing on the list of devices. Select to connect. In the drop-down list select your service provider or in case you want to add another provider press Add (Add). Choose the service provider of their choice and select Connect (Connect). If you selected the option to add a new provider, you must add a new profile, where you put the APN, username and password that your ISP assigned.

Once we have completed these steps, you can successfully connect to our modem Playbook using as our smartphone. That's all, Enjoy!
